Dr. William Keimig

William Keimig, DMin., is the Assistant Director of the Catechetical Institute at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. He holds a Doctorate in Ministry from the Catholic University of America, and a Master’s Degree in Theology and Christian Ministry with a Certification in Catechetics from Franciscan University. 

Dr. Keimig served as the Director of Religious Education at St. Mary’s of Piscataway Catholic Church in Clinton, Maryland for 15 years. For nine years, he served as the Director of the Association for Catechumenal Ministry (ACM), which assists dioceses in training clergy and laity to do RCIA ministry, and was the managing editor of ACM’s series of RCIA texts currently used in thousands of U.S. parishes and in many other countries.

Course Description
The RCIA process is designed to serve the Holy Spirit’s work of conversion, deeply involving a parish community in the shared work of offering the goodness and graces of the Catholic Church to all souls. This course, through exploring the three aspects of the process, is a comprehensive walk through Mother Church’s vision for initiation of new children into her fold and into relationship with the Trinity, and how to pragmatically and effectively implement this in a modern parish setting.
